Well, I'd be interested in hearing about your human OCs too! I understand not wanting to do a wall of text. I'd definitely hesitate to do that in my second language (Spanish) too. Can I ask how your one tamer got eaten maybe?
Ah… Yes, let’s start with this most stupid thing that happened to me in that setting lol
Warning: Mention of death and being eaten alive.
tldr: A virus-infected Triceramon was very hangry and decided my character is the perfect snack and punching bag-combo. And my dice really hated me.
Longer version after the cut
This is a Digimon DnD thingy, everything is decided by the values we set for our characters and the dice.
A session before this one had us encounter our BBEG who convinced two of our Digimon partners (my Reno, Lucemon FM, and another one from another player) to switch sides and separated the party leaving especially my human character alone with only a few HP left and a broken leg in a cast.
To prove his loyalty to the BBEG they were tasked to destroy several buildings in the human world, kill as many humans as possible and cause fear and panic in general.
Some were sent to the hospital my part of the party was resting after the last fight/session, and my human partner ended up alone with an incredibly angry Triceramon, its sanity completely destroyed by a virus.
My athletic skills were practically non-existent because I always put all my skill points into computer technology, hacking, and whatnot to provide support with scripts, mods, etc. I was left with the choice to either try to sprint/jump/crawl to the door to flee (which was nigh impossible, with that broken leg, it standing in the way, etc) or to reach for his laptop to boot up a program that’d upload his consciousness to the net (with a ~80% chance of success), the possibility of surviving was practically 0 percent, the only thing that mattered here was what I’d do with my last action.
Those stupid beasts were btw sent by lovely darling Reno so I blame that stupid rabbit for failing the throw on where to send them to, choosing that ‘closed for renovations floor’ because 'no one would be there for them to attack’ with his last bit of sanity. Have I mentioned my dice hated me that day? Because they surely did.
(That conversation with the DM was silent btw, via phone messenger, all the others on the table could see was me rolling one dice after another and sobbing into my character sheets after it.
^ Me, crying over my stupid throws.)
Not to mention that I of course had no chance to escape that Triceramon and got eaten by it. Alive. This state of emotion carried over to the uploaded Avatar-version of my character because it was the last thing he felt when hitting the upload button. Great 'first memory’ isn’t it.
This all happened because of some stupid argument, in-game, over how useless Reno has been for the party over the years. And him trying to send those forces to a place my human character and his siblings are not, ended up sending them right my way. =)
